Harvey James Unwell
Harvey James, legendary guitarist with bands such as Mississippi and Sherbet, has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The 58 year old is undergoing treatment at the moment and we will bring more info as it comes to hand.
Harvey was a member of Mississippi, which eventually became The Little River Band, way back in early 1970’s. After leaving them he joined Ariel and toured Australia & the UK. He shot to national prominence when he joined Sherbet in 1975 replacing Clive Shakespeare.
Please take a moment to head over to this Facebook page where you can leave him a message of encouragement.
I new Harvey James when the sherbs used my rehearsal studios “Waterloo Rehearsal Studios” back in the late ’70’s. he was a kind and generous man. I was the first person to open a rehearsal studio in Sydney in 1976. My clients were music legends over the years, Darryl Braithwaite used to call his girl friends from my lounge room. My wife cooked cakes for the Sherbs in those days because they were “poor starving muso’s” Cheers, G
