Skeleton Crew – Propaganda

Way back in 1986 I was the sound engineer for Bandanna. Their manager was a guy called Steve Rondo who owned the “Rock Depot” rehearsal studio in Liverpool. Steve would keep an eye out for good up and coming bands to use as support acts for Bandanna and that’s how I first met the folks in a band called Skeleton Crew. I had the pleasure of doing sound for them more than a few times over the next few years both as Skeleton Crew and Propaganda as they became. Through the wonders of social media, I’ve kept in touch with the bass player, Jon Rolfe (aka JR, Ace Megastar). JR recently put me in touch with Kim Richardson, the singer in the band, who has sent me a fantastic set of photographs and newspaper clippings from the Skeleton Crew and Propaganda days.

It was a blast to go through all these photos, especially when I came across with the PA from Stagepro Productions which was owned by myself, my brother Brett and my mate Brian. Big thanks to Kim for getting all this together for me and to JR for making it happen.

    I was in the band with these guys before the Propaganda days…. when they were called Redshift…. great days, great times, memorable era…. miss those days…. 🙂

    I was in Skeleton Crew, Redshift as second guitar to Nic ,great guitar player and Kim what an awesome voice she has I was in the band for 1 year

    I remember these days…I was “roadie ing” for them until I moved to WA at the end of 87. Good times!
