    Hi John
It was 1970 in Melbourne, and you were supposed to be singing at a club on Toorak Road but apparently you were ill and couldn’t perform, someone from your entourage came up to Linda and myself at the club and asked us if we would like to go and see you at the apartment across the road and wish you well, and of course we said yes. So we went across to your apartment and you were in bed, and we felt so sorry for you and wished you a speedy recovery and then left. After seeing the show the other night I heard someone saying that you liked to play practical jokes, so going back all the way to 1970 it has just dawned on me, that was what you were doing. Anyhow all the best xx
