I was thinking that Puppy Love was actually sung by Donny’s baby brother Jimmy Osmond, only my sister was in love with Donny so i had no choice but to grow up listening to the osmonds…not 100% certain but food for thought.

Sorry Kurt, they are on the list! Perhaps, if you are a fan, you’d consider writing a listing for them yourself? We are always looking for contributors. Check the “Contributors Wanted” link at the top of this page.

    Thanks, Mark

“Day By Day” by Colleen Hewett was my fondest memory of 1972, What a beautiful track that is !. At the time (as a 12y old) i used to sell ‘fake’ lottery tickets from door to door in my neighbourhood (in Mooroolbark, a Melbourne suburb) at 20c a ticket ..
The price they could win was a full Encyclopedia :-). And my price was buying a few singles … Colleen Hewett being one of them. (Don’t tell any further please 🙂 (in the end i collected about 10 dollars, buying me about 4 singles at the time… and i’ve never been dishonest since ! :-).
Sometimes the love of music goes very far for a 12y old kido :-).
    Cheers.

Hi, ive been trying to find a song, the Wales bank used it in there commercial,
i think it starts something like this. GO WITH THE WALES ACROSS THE SEA ACROSS THE SKY, SINGING THE SONG WITH A TEAR IN MY EYE, SEARCHING FOR A WAY A NEW PLACE TO STAY, the wales bank used the same melody, different lyrics of cause
would really appreciate if anyone know the title and or band who recorded it back in the early seventies
    cheers Mal

Does anyone remember a song that goes
‘Turned 21 without a grey hair, yes you could say I’ve got the key of the door’ and the group that sang it ? It was around 1971-72. I’ve got the song recorded but don’t know which group did it.

Do you remember a song that was played on aussie radio either ’71, ’72 or ’73.? It was called ‘Sunday Monday Tuesday’ or ‘Monday Tuesday Wednesday’ by a female artist and not to be confused with the Woolworth Supermarket Ad Promotion. It was very poppy indeed and I think it may have been featured on one of the Majestic/K-tel compilations of the day.

Dee, The song was Sunday Monday Tuesday by Jessica Jones, 1972,

Turned 21 came out in early 1972 by the New Dream. It was a follow up to their earlier big hit Soft Delights. They had a follow up song called Sister Jane. Yes I remember Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday. It was not in hit in Melbourne but I remember it well. It was a girl lead singer. The group sounded like the Middle of the Road but I am sure it was not them. It did not hit in Melbourne but stayed in the lower parts of the 3UZ top 80. I think it may have been about September 1972.
