The Angels – Wyong Leagues – 30th July 2009
I had the pleasure a few years ago of working on an Angels tour. I was the sound engineer for Black Label who were the support band. It was a bit of a spin-out to be working on the same show as The Angels who I first saw in 1978! They were brilliant. The tempos were a little slower and there wasn’t too much leaping off the drum riser but the music was still there. And the crowd loved it!
This is probably one of the last tours that this lineup of the band did, featuring Doc Neeson, Buzz Bidstrup, Chris Bailey, Rick Brewster, and John Brewster.
Here are a few selected shots I took at Wyong Leagues Club. Let me know if you were there or if you spot yourself in the crowd.
Great to see the Angels back touring, I hadn’t seen them since about 1979 at War & Peace, Parramatta. We really enjoyed both bands. My son & I were in the front row in the last photo, but I’m sure I wasn’t sleeping….
